Last night was our monthly guild meeting. I am so thankful for the means to be able to go to these meetings regularly again. It’s refreshing to be able to spend time with people who have the same avocations.
Our meeting last night was a different one than in all the years I’ve been a member. We had a “game” night. We’ve done games before, quilt bingo and such, but this one had several different games. Our table won prizes for threading needles the fastest…… thanks to Rene and her nail clippers to keep the thread end sharp. I’ve not laughed so much at a meeting ever. And afterwards, as the meeting was shorter than normal, I was able to go out for coffee with some very good friends who I don’t see nearly enough. I came home with a smile on my face and I’m still smiling this morning. NEVER underestimate the value of friendships!
On the studio front, it’s going to be a busy day today. There are fabrics to check in:
And there’s yesterday’s longarm quilt to bind, my customer’s daughter pieced this quilt and I’m pleased to be able to quilt and bind it for them. I know they’ll treasure the memories it holds:

There’s the next quilt to load, and batting to be checked in and stocked. A label to be embroidered as well. It’s going to be a busy day, just the way I like them!
And there’s always one of my supervisors present to make sure I stay on track:

Where ever you are today, or what ever you are doing, take a moment to treasure those friendships you’ve made over the years. They’ll celebrate the good times and hold you up in the rough ones.
Happy Sewing!
