Sew A Row Class Starts August 6th!

Starting August 6th, on Friday’s, I’ll be teaching a Sew A Row quilt class.

Each week we’ll cover a different technique which makes this a great opportunity to revisit basic skills and/or learn new ones.  Some of the techniques we’ll be covering are machine applique, paper piecing, strip sets, migrating geese, prairie points…and many others.

The class will run for 9 sessions, through October 22nd.  There will be a couple breaks in the scheduling, which will give you extra time to complete a few of the more time consuming or complicated piecing rows before the next session.   This is a scrap quilt class, and is based on the book by Karin Hellaby titled “Sew A Row Quilts”.

I did my quilt in a jewel tone color palette, but just imagine this quilt being done in scrappy Christmas colors…and best of all, with the manageable size and the easy finishing technique (which is a bonus lesson), you can have this quilt done before the holidays to decorate your walls!  Or perhaps you’d prefer to work in a spring or fall palette, this quilt is scrappy so you can work in any color palette you desire!

There are still spaces available in this class, but they’ll fill up quickly.  The class is being held at Quilters Loft, 188 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC and registration is being taken there.
