I’ve been asked to share pictures of the recent commission Family Tree quilt. I have to admit, I didn’t get as good of pics as I thought I was and I must remember to take my pictures BEFORE the customer gets here the next time. But here are 2 that turned out relatively decent:
This quilt does hang flat, when it’s not being suspended by two clothes hangers at either end. I used a feather pattern for the outer borders, and freehand filled in behind the tree with leaves and the grass with texture. The tree itself was left to pop (wool batting). The family names are 3D and can be added to as needed, if desired, which the customer mentioned.
