Who makes this thread?

I finally found a variegated thread I am happy with on the longarm. It’s shiny enough to satisfy me, it’s thick enough to show up, it runs nicely, doesn’t snap every few inches…..and I have no clue WHO makes this thread or where to get more (one of my pet peeves is thread manufacturers who do NOT mark spools to be recognizable once the wrapper is off!)

If you know who makes this thread, please let me know.

This is what the spool looks like on the machine:

Thread-001

Here’s a closeup of the actual thread itself:

And these are the only markings on the spool, stamped on the bottom, but I have no idea what they mean:

Thread-002I’m sure I picked this thread up at a show, possibly MQS in 2005?  Or maybe Paducah in 2006?  If you know who makes this thread, I’m almost BEGGING you to let me know!

THANKS!!!!!

  1. Definitely! The way it worked up today on the small piece I did was just amazing! I’m definitely a fan!!!! I’d like to offer it as an option to customers on their quilts, but have to find where I can buy it wholesale in large spools first.

  2. Very pretty thread! I have a problem with loopies on the back when I use varigated in the top. So I rarely use it for customers-wish I could I love the way it looks.

    1. Vicki when I use a variegated on top I always use a finer weight thread in the bobbin and loosen my bobbin tension a smidge to pull the bobbin almost to the top. I’ll occasionally get a bobbin pokie in a sharp point on the top, but rarely, and since I usually use a mid-range in the variegation you have to really look to find it.
