I started a new series this week, based on trees. Which, of course, meant I needed to have a dye session for greens!
All of these pieces are made out of only 2 fabrics and 4 dyes (plus cheesecloth). I used either Dyers Cloth from James Thompson, or Natural Muslin from Roclon. The dyes used were Kilt Green, Bright Green, Chartreuse, and Hot Chocolate.
These were done in my new wide mouth pint jars that I bought specifically for dyeing fabrics. Love the wide mouth on the jars!
And the cheesecloth:
I have no idea how those four dyes could give me everything from a yellow green with pink tones to a blue green with black tones, and that’s what I love about dyeing fabrics!
