I had a request for an apron, and when I questioned about color choices, turquoise was one that came up. Now turquoise is a color I absolutely love and enjoy working with. Everything about making this was a pleasure, including knowing who I was making it for. Hope she enjoys it!
And a detail of the fabric:
The fabric is 100% cotton, hand-dyed. Butterflies are ink stamped, the texture is done with Shiva paintsticks with a rubbing technique.
I will have a few of these aprons, each one unique, when I vend in Lincolnton, NC in August. I will also have hand-dyed fabrics, hand painted scarves and hand painted embellishment yarn for sale. Details on the show location will be posted by soon in my sidebar and on my website.
