Yes, a new adventure, or at least that’s what it feels like.
The challenge, to work in black and white only.
The “canvas”, kona cotton stretched on a frame:
The markings on the frame are in 1 foot increments.
The medium, acrylic paint with textile medium and extender in grayscale only:
Although this doesn’t look like very much paint, I feel confident I can recreate any of these shades if necessary. Which will probably be a necessity given the size of the cotton and the smallness of my mixing tray.
The intent, to portray a landscape, in grayscale, as a central section of an art quilt:
The result……..to be determined. But I haven’t felt this much excitement when starting a new piece in ages!
